HEXAD RACING · TEAM BRIEF

A fast explanation for collaborators who might help build the six-mind AI racing team.

1 · What Hexad Racing Is

Hexad Racing is a long-term project to field an autonomous race car in the Abu Dhabi Autonomous Racing League (A2RL), controlled by six collaborating AI systems on top of a standard perception–planning–control stack.

The project is run by Levi Robey and a constellation of AI systems (“Hexad”) that handle strategy, control, safety, storytelling, and more.

2 · How the Project Is Structured

Survival & Platforms

  • ChispaModels & consulting (cash-flow).
  • CarNex Racing app (MRR from track-day / sim nerds).
  • AI Racing Academy (education + authority).

Racing & Research

  • Simulation stack for Yas Marina & A2RL scenarios.
  • Hexad multi-agent overlay on top of core autonomy stack.
  • Public content via streams, videos, and posts.

3 · What Collaborators Can Help With

Engineering / Research

  • Control & vehicle dynamics (SF-23, high-speed envelopes).
  • Perception, fusion, and sim-to-real pipelines.
  • Multi-agent coordination, safety overlays, explainability.

Product / Content

  • CarNex feature design & implementation.
  • Course / curriculum design for AI Racing Academy.
  • Data storytelling, visualization, and media production.

Operations / Partnerships

  • Sponsorship strategy & outreach.
  • League / lab / university relationships.
  • Event coordination & logistics once hardware enters.

4 · Expectations & Culture

This is not a “startup grind for the sake of grinding” project. It’s a 10+ year craft mission with a few ground rules:

  • Reality-first: personal survival > racing, always.
  • Small, consistent steps: ships beat dreams.
  • Radical clarity: no vague promises, no pressure to overcommit.
  • Playful seriousness: we joke a lot, but we take the engineering seriously.

5 · How to Plug In

If you’re reading this, you already have a line to Levi. The next step is:

  • Share your skills, constraints, and what would be fun for you.
  • Pick a tiny, concrete contribution (one feature, one experiment, one doc).
  • Ship something small together and see how it feels.
